Living Lake Project Awarded

The region continues to build momentum through partnerships that strengthen quality of life and protect the natural resources that define North Idaho.

The Coeur d’Alene Arts & Culture Alliance was recently selected to receive a Thriving Communities Grant, supporting a new initiative designed to advance environmental awareness and community engagement across the region.

Through this grant, the Alliance will lead the Living Lake Project, an artist-led initiative focused on collaboration and education to help residents better understand and protect the lake and watershed that are central to North Idaho’s economy and way of life. The project is intended to spark conversation and collective action around water quality and long-term stewardship.

Our organization was proud to support efforts that contributed to the success of this grant application. Investments like this strengthen the region’s quality of place, encourage community engagement, and reinforce the connection between arts, culture, and environmental stewardship.

Projects that combine creativity with community priorities help position North Idaho as a place where innovation, collaboration, and natural resource protection work together to support long-term economic vitality.
